How hard could that be?

Sherri Jo Wilkins Bike Tour

She had owned and ridden a Harley for many years in the States, had acted as a navigator and co pilot in light aircraft and had sailed a yacht dodging pirates through the islands of the pacific – surely this was the next logical step.

The big difference though –  she is doing this solo.

AIRHAWK - Tom Thornley

Generously donated an Airhawk Cushion for my long journey.  Every bike has pro's and con's, and a con on my bike is the long skinny seat vs. the nice wide padded seat you see on bigger bikes.  So, the Airhawk cushion should come in very handy for my bum!  And with my existing natural padding, I'm set to go in comfort!  What's nice about the Airhawk cushion is that the amount of air you have in the seat can be adjusted to suit your own preference.

Garmin

GARMIN

as generously donated all the maps I need around the world for my Garmin Zumo 550.  That's a lot of maps!!  Thank you to Kathryn and Bryce who worked so hard to organise these maps, they are greatly appreciated!!

Peter Stephens

PETER STEVENS KTM

My journey started with choosing a bike, and the boys from Peter Stevens KTM at Morphett Vale, South Australia have been absolutely fantastic.  They have discounted the bike and parts for me, but most of all, have sponsored the labor for all the accessories since added!  It meant a lot to me to find a team that would support me, and they have been the best!  Just choosing the bike isn't enough, it's getting it ready as well, which has meant several trips to the shop.  I highly recommend Peter Stevens at Morphett Vale!

Rukka Innotesco

RUKKA

and more specifically to Pasi and Mary-anne at Innotesco in Melbourne (www.innotesco.com.au), have generously donated all my motorcycle riding gear!  My riding suit with armored pads and Gore-tex material, Coolmax base layer (to wick moisture away from my body on warm days), Microfleece mid-layer (for warmth on the cold days), and gloves, which are also Gore-tex and padded.  This gear is essential for safe riding, and Rukka makes the best quality in the business! I am so pleased to best protection and grateful for their sponsorship!

Safari

SAFARI TANKS

R & V Aqualine, aka Safari Fuel Tanks, have kindly donated a 14 ltr. fuel tank for my KTM.  With the existing 12 ltr tank, I now have a total of 26 ltrs.  Very good for those places in the world where fuel stops will be rare!  I am hoping to get around 450 km/s per fill.  Thank you to R & V Aqualine!!

Touratech

TOURATECH

Panniers! (also organized through R & V Aqualine!)  Touratech have kindly supported me with 50% discount on my panniers.  Such an important part of my bike.. being able to carry the things I need.  The aluminium boxes are secure so I can lock up my gear and have a little walk and a bit to eat somewhere!  And will be good protection in the event of a fall.  I also learned early on in my research that Touratech is THE place to go for Adventure Touring Equipment.  So true!  Check out their site if you are thinking of planning a motorcycle journey - Thank You Touratech!

Wonderfoods

WONDERFOODS

An easy to drink protein formula to keep me healthy and strong along the way.  I just mix it in my water, and sip along the way.  Easy!  Thank you Glen at Wonderfoods!
